I just suprised that they made this movie at all, the graphic novel was really over the edge, but an excellent piece of work. One of my favorites.

Warner Brothers announced this week that its adaptation of Alan Moore’s and David Lloyd’s graphic novel, V for Vendetta, is being pushed back to March 2006. The film was originally set to appear November 4.

Warner Brothers insists that the delay has everything to do with the film’s post-production schedule and nothing to do with its somewhat sensitive subject matter. V for Vendetta is the futuristic tale of an anarchist assassin who kills fascist government leaders. Set in the United Kingdom, the original graphic novel also includes a scene that features the bombing of the London Underground.

V for Vendetta is produced by the Wachowski brothers (of Matrix fame) and directed by James McTeigue. It stars Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving. March 17, 2006 is the film’s new release date.
