I updated my permalink structure so it is based on dates and the text of the post, instead of post numbers. That should make it easier for search engines to find my little corner of the web.

Ah, mildly amusing publicity stunts: The Warner Bros. Superman Returns website has been, ahem, “hacked,” apparently by arch-fiend Lex Luthor. The main page has been defaced with the slogan, “Lex Luthor was here.” There’s also a link to Luthor’s own MySpace profile.
Last week, the studio launched a Superman Returns MySpace page, which now has more than 49,000 “friends.” As of the time of this post, Luthor’s page has 5,946.
Curse that Superman. He always wins.

Now that is kick-ass news! I loved New Frontier (you can get Vol 1. and Vol 2. of the story on Amazon) , it was a well written and the art was really top notch. Probably one of the best stories I have read in a long time. I will definitely be getting this when it comes out.

New Frontier finds a new frontier.
Wednesday June 21, 2006, 10:46 am
In an interview with fan site The World’s Finest, Justice League Unlimited writer Stan Berkowitz
lets slip a piece of news that should please a lot of DC fans:
“At the moment, I’m writing a direct-to-video animated adaptation of Darwyn Cooke’s ‘New Frontier’ epic. It will be feature length, rated PG-13 and Bruce [Timm] will be Executive Producer. So far, it’s been nothing but fun… a chance for me to revisit my youth and the Starro era.”
Between the Absolute New Frontier solicited for October – including deleted scenes! – and this news, I’m a very happy man indeed…
(Via Ryan Higgins at Millarworld.)
Update: The above quote has been removed from the interview; in fact, the entire last question and answer have been removed. Perhaps things were said that weren’t meant for public discussion?
UPDATED INFO: Looks like Ain’t It Cool News has some news on this as well.

http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2006/06/spiderman_3_teaser_poster.html
Another Spider-Man 3 poster has been popping up in major city centers
recently. We’ve all already seen the one with Spider-Man in black perched on the
building top (I love that poster by the way… let me know when I can buy one),
but now there’s one floating around that seems to be in the same style as the
posters from the first two films.
We see Spidy in his traditional costume flying high above the city… pretty
much the same except the number “3″ is on the bottom of it. Thanks to Joel for
the heads up. You can see a much bigger
and better version of the poster over here.
I’m still not as excited to see this move as I am about seeing Superman
Returns… but still… from everything I’ve seen and heard so far Spider-Man 3
looks fantastic! I’m still worried about the whole 4 villains thing though…
that makes me really nervous.

IRON MAN, SUPERMAN RETURNS, SPIDER-MAN, WOLVERINE: JUNE 21ST COMIC REEL WRAP
by Hannibal Tabu, Staff Writer
Posted: June 21, 2006
IRON MAN
Director Jon Favreau has been quite the online personality, posting up a storm in his MySpace group
(guess he got tired of the blog), where he answers vital questions,
putting the origin in the present day, promising there will be a Jim
Rhodes, saying he likes Adi Granov’s armor design from the “Extremis”
storyline and more, including possibly seeing something in time for
Comic-Con.
SUPERMAN RETURNS
CBR message board regular “Supermanny” sent us this link
to a very revelatory interview with director Bryan Singer, which is a
better look into the mind of the man than into the mechanics of the
movie. Meanwhile, MSN has a new clip from the film, if you have Windows Media installed.
SPIDER-MAN 3
Looky-loos unite! According to Superhero Hype,
the production will be shooting along where Baltic and Smith streets
intersect in Cobble Hill this Thursday (as in tomorrow).
WOLVERINE
Screenwriter Simon Kinberg talked to If Magazine
in very vague terms about what characters we might see in the spin-off.
“We did talk about a couple of characters that they wanted to save for
the WOLVERINE movie spin-off,” Kinberg said. “I can’t tell you who they
are, but there was really only one we wanted to use for ‘X3,’ and they
said they’re not going to have a big enough part to risk losing them
for ‘WOLVERINE.’ Sabretooth will be in there, but I don’t know in what
form. I think his relationship with Wolverine is under explored.”
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
Here’s where you get in
on the action. Did you see a link we didn’t catch? Have you snuck into
a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating
somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is,
we wanna know it all — fire off an email
and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions
to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles,
this is novelist/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu
saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to
development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
