Word over on Newsarama is that Johns is leaving the Teen Titans and Adam Beechen is going to take his place.
Normally I would be scared about Johns leaving, The Flash really sucked bad after he left, but I have enjoyed Beechen’s work on Robin so it just might be OK. That will even give the two titles to share storylines I would imagine, I can see that happening pretty easily.
With that in mind I will reserve judgment on this until I read some of the issues Beechen writes.
Besides, maybe Johns can get Green Lantern out on time for a change now that he has one less thing to work on.

Day six of the flu keeps me home again today. I feel physically OK this morning, which is an improvement, but my stomach feels like I have been drinking battery acid. The stomach cramps are a lot of fun too. About the only thing I can eat that doesn’t bother me is oatmeal and Silk (I have been allergic to milk since before kindergarten). Good thing I actually like that stuff. Besides I am supposed to be on a diet anyway.
The Wife has a lot worse run of it, she is still feeling its effects after two weeks. She is a lot better, but its still taking a lot out of her. She went straight to sleep after she got how from work last night and didn’t even eat any dinner. She still has a pretty bad cough, it sounds like she is going to cough up a lung or something. I am glad that I went to the doctor when I first started feeling bad, or I would be in the same boat.
Considering I am sick, but not in a coma like I was on Monday, I might even get some “stuff” done. Like writing some comic reviews or something. I know I know, that’s crazy talk, but that is just how I roll baby.

Auctions/Prices: Heritage Comic Auction Brings $1.2 Million
Heritage Comic Auction Brings $1.2 Million
Auctions/Prices, Scoop, Friday, January 26, 2007
Heritage Auction Galleries’ recent signature comic book and original art auction came to a close last week with results realizing over $1.2 million for the 1,147 lots offered. Although after auction sales are still taking place, auction totals came in at $1,234,883.00.
“This was a solid start to what looks to be a solid year,” said Ed Jaster, Vice-President for Heritage, in a recent press release. “Superman and original art were the stars of this auction, but we saw great strength in a number of areas, including the ever-strong high-grade Silver Age category. I was particularly gratified by the strong performance of the Steve Ditko Amazing Spider-Man page, which
pictured a pulse-pounding battle between Ol’ Webhead and the scurrilous Scorpion, and which may represent a new high-water mark for these desirable pages.”
Highlights from the auction include: an original painting for a Heavy Metal poster by Chris Achilleos, which sold for $21,510; the original painting for the paperback cover to Dragonsbane, by Michael
Whelan, brought $19,120; Boris Vallejo’s Eagle original art went for $17,925; the original art for the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #155, by John Romita, Sr. sold for $15,535; and a Jeff Jones original Conan painting went for $14,340.
