CATCHING UP WITH RON LIM
by Brendan McGuirk
Ron Lim has long been a fixture in comics’ illustration. He has seen
the landscape of comics change a great deal, but has managed to adapt
and remain an interesting voice throughout the evolution. His latest
project, a reunion with frequent collaborator Jim Starlin on DC’s Mystery in Space,
wrapped up this week. The series reinvents the man previously Captain,
and now merely Comet. With an affinity towards the cutting edge cosmic
stories, and a strong grounding in classic storytelling Lim is one of
the most prolific and versatile artists of his era. We spoke with Ron
to discuss his career, the keys to remaining passionate for the work,
and talking dogs.
