Laura Bates has been ramrodding an annual Hopalong Cassidy Festival in Cambridge, Ohio (Bill Boyd’s home town). In our top photo (right) Roger Hall is shown with Frank Coghlan (who played in several of the Hoppy films as a boy) and Grace Bradley Boyd, Bill Boyd’s widow, at the Hopalong Cassidy Festival in 1995. It’s hard to believe that the beautiful lady in this photo was 82 years old when this photo was made 12 years ago! Grace is now approaching her 94th birthday, and is working with Gemstone

1950.Do you have a photo of you or a family member in a Hoppy outfit? We want to include as many photos of kids wearing them outfits as possible. We are looking for photos taken circa 1949-1954, the period of Hoppy’s greatest popularity.
If you have a photo of yourself or a brother or sister dressed in a Hoppy outfit from that era, please e mail a copy of the photo to russ@russcochran.com and it could very well appear in the book.
