No really we are back….
Well the webhost migration went a lot faster than I thought, and unfortunately I didn’t get a blog export finished before things switched. So I had to rebuild the blog one table at a time with MySQL.
Unfortunately plan on restoring things didn’t work out quite like I planned, and messing with plugins would cause a database corruption bad enough that the only way to fix it was to start from scratch.
It took about three or four times of this before I figured out a better way to deal with things and get the blog up and running for good this time (I hope).
Meanwhile my new webhost, BlueHost.com, is really great! There are so many more features to choose from that were included in the price, and I have so many more options to manage my sites the way I want. You should give them a look!
Now that things are “settled” look for more news and reviews soon!

What the hell happened to this blog!?!?!
Well that is definitely a good question, and one I will try to answer.? ? I have always wanted to make this blog a comic book news and reviews site, have things timely, and from a different perspective than the other comic book blogs out there.? I thought it would be easy to do with the wealth of information that was out there.
I was wrong.
There are are at least thousands of comic book blogs out there, some good and some bad, but more than I ever could have imagined.? I tried to keep up, but with the book, work, a personal life, my utter lack of a local comic shop, it is just impossible to keep up with some of the die hard bloggers that are out there.? Especially the ones that have worked out a way to do this for a living.? I was so overwhelmed with it all that I just stopped working on this blog at all, and I hated that.
So I am going to stop trying to keep up with everyone else and just do my thing, as I want to do it.? ? I am going to make a concerted effort to at least post something every day, be it a comic review, a comment about something, a rant about things that bother me, or how really worthless that Bing.com is as a search engine.
The bottom line is that I have the urge to write, and I have to start somewhere.
This blog needs an enema
I got tired of my old theme, mostly because I kept adding little things here and there and it started to look too cluttered.? So as of today I am sporting a new look for the blog.

Apologies to readers of Tales from the Longbox and the Weblog Updates
I woke up this morning and found that advertisements for adult webcomics had made their way on to my sidebar ads, and on the banner ad of the New Comic Weblog Updates Page.
I don’t know if anyone actually saw those ads, but they have been removed and I have taken step to hopefully make sure that this doesn’t happen again.
If anyone was offended, I apologize. That isn’t the kind of content I want to be represented here.
If anyone finds any of the other ads on this site offensive, please let me know and I will take steps to fix the problem.
