Fallen Earth Announces Real-Time iPhone Application

Players Interface to View Skills, Manage Crafting and Converse

FALLEN EARTH, LLC, and Icarus Studios Inc., developers of the self-titled massively multiplayer online game (MMO), announced today the development of a cross-platform iPhone application, which allows players to connect into the live game server and interact with the game remotely via their iPhone.

Through the new iPhone application, players will have constant access to Fallen Earth, which has been one of the most critically acclaimed releases this year. Through its interactive features, the application will allow Fallen Earth players to view their in-game character stats, mutations and trade skills as well as provide access to equipped and stored items. Players will also have the capacity to view maps for each of the three sectors in the 1,000 square kilometers of the game’s landscape.

“Fallen Earth fans will have the ability to interact with the game when away from their PCs in a way never before seen in an MMO,” said Dave Haydysch, Project Manager of Fallen Earth. “With the Fallen Earth iPhone app, players will be able to play many aspects of the game in real-time while on-the-go.”

Scheduled for release in Q1 of 2010, the application will feature extensive real-time management of several key in-game systems. Players will be able to manage their crafting queue, view recipes, craft items, buy and sell items at the Auction House as well as interact with friends, Clan members and other online players through multiple chat channels, mail and private messaging.

Keep up to date with all the Fallen Earth action on the Facebook and Twitter pages.

Fallen Earth Thanksgiving Screenshot Contest
November 2, 2009

Here in the wasteland, there’s a whole lot to be thankful for. Mutants, Blight Wolves, Gully Dogs… what more could you ask for?! To help celebrate the holiday, we’re looking for original screenshots that show what an authentic Thanksgiving celebration in the wasteland looks like!

Send us a fun screenshot of you and your Clan-mates or fellow clones (5 max per screenshot) giving some “thanks” in the wasteland.

To enter, have one player in your group submit your best screenshot as well as each member’s character name to fecontest@fallenearth.com by Friday, November 13 at 5 p.m. ET (GMT-5).

Each member in the winning screenshot will receive a Fallen Earth t-shirt and special in-game food item, which they may choose from a festive menu we’ve designed (see below). Members of two additional top screenshots will also receive an in-game food item of their choice.

Winners will be determined by November 20 and have their screenshot featured on the Fallen Earth homepage.

Hint: We’re looking for original screens that make use of existing festive elements and environment, involve characters in different poses and overall demonstrate the theme of Thanksgiving!

Food item choices include:

* Fried Prairie Chicken – level 5 – restores 3 Health every 6 seconds for 1 hour
* Gritty Pie Crust – level 10 – restores 4 Health every 6 seconds for 1 hour
* Apple Jelly – level 15 – restores 4 Health every 6 seconds for 1 hour

Read about the rules and regulations to submit your screenshot.

Fallen Earth – Days of the Dead | Ten Ton Hammer

Beginning October 23, the wastelands of Fallen Earth will be home to throngs of unwelcome Infected for more than a week in the zombie-killing spree referred to as “Days of the Dead.” To help combat these Infected, Fallen Earth LLC and Ten Ton Hammer are making thousands of trial keys available for 15 free days of Fallen Earthplay.

During the Halloween extravaganza, players begin by visiting mission hubs to take reward-based repeatable missions from NPCs to destroy zombies (coordinates for these NPCs are listed in FAQ). The Bankers, a neutral faction in Fallen Earth, are also offering a special zombie-fighting weapon for killing 100 of the Infected. Players get their choice of a signature shotgun, a sawed-off shotgun or a cricket bat.

Players can also make scarecrows, made from pumpkins that are gathered from Cooking Merchants or in nearby pumpkin patches. Be on the lookout for the rare drop of the “Pumpkin of Extraordinary Merit,” which grants a five percent boost on many stats and a ten percent boost on health regeneration for an hour.

You’re just a few short steps away from your Fallen Earth “Days of the Dead” free trial key and more info on how to participate! Click the button below to confirm your email address and get your key!

For more information on Days of the Dead, visit Fallen Earth’s FAQ. Fans can also stay tuned for more information through the Fallen Earth Facebook page and through Twitter @FallenEarth.
